Welcome to the world of Primordia! It's a world currently in its golden age of civilization; regional-exploration and beyond, as far as the eye can see. This journal, hopefully, covers every aspect of what you'll need to know in order to become a member here at PMD-UL. If not, then feel free to ask anyone from the staff any questions via Comment or Note.

HOW TO JOIN

In order to join the group, you must correctly complete and have an application approved. These applications will act as your Character(s) Profile.

-ARTIST APPLICATION-
-AUTHOR APPLICATION-

Once an application has been submitted, send a Join Request, and we will review your app.

With regards to nature, you can choose any from this list:
Bullet; BlueList of Natures

Everything on the application is pretty straightforward, but there are several things I should mention. You can start out with solo or as a team, from 2-4 members. This rule will be changed, if necessary. You are able to recruit new members, but you will require a Recruit Permit. You can obtain a Permit during an event or as a reward.

-For artists, you should include the following in the description of your submitted application (if you want to leave someone out intentionally, like age, gender, height/weight, then go ahead and write N/A there):
-Additionally, four moves are not necessary and any move mentioned on the Pokédex page can be learned at a later date with an update to your app.

CHARACTER CREATION

While there is a lot of creative freedom to be afforded when creating characters for this group, keep in mind that there are certain limits and regulations that must be followed.

  1. Characters must be from the Pokémon universe--any Pokémon is allowed, except for legendaries and select mythical.
  2.
These are special characters to be reserved for story purposes. Keep in mind that legendaries, for the most part, are just that--LEGENDARY. In other words, your character is not allowed to be a legendary or be affiliated with special Pokémon. "Witnessing one" is another story, but you can't be "best friends with one" and things like that.

  3. There are Team Applications available. For the sake of reference, please name every team you create. You are allowed to create a maximum of three teams. This rule might be changed in the near-future.

  4. When creating a team, keep in mind that there are certain parameters for what they should be regarding evolution.

-There's no limit to what evolution stage, except for one thing; keep it relevant to your character's age. In PMD-UL, evolution determines the stage of your age, not experience. 1st Stage, or Basic (such as Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle) are seen as children, while 2nd/3rd Stage is seen as Teens, Young Adults, Adults and so on.

  5. When designing a character, you are able to customize them however you want, including Color Variation. However, there is a slight limit to that. You are not allowed to make your character resemble another species of Pokémon. (i.e. a Totodile that looks like a Cyndaquil). However, stick to your Pokémon's proper anatomy. (So don't go adding limbs where they shouldn't be, and no Anthros.)

-Four-legged Pokémon (i.e. Eevee) can walk on two legs, if they so wish. But they should NOT be anatomically-based on a human being. Keep the proper anatomy of your Pokémon.

-Color Variations are allowed, but will change if needed be. Color Variations are alternative color-based appearances of characters. You can make them look however you want. (For example, the Guild Master is a Sceptile, but he has a Grey-Scale Color Variation.) DO NOT ABUSE THIS RULE!

  6. Characters are allowed to be creatively fashioned--e.g. if you want to create a non-binary or otherwise character, that's alright. This group is to focus on story-building and character development.

  7. Keep the character's abilities and moves within its capabilities. For example, no water-types knowing fire-type moves when they cannot learn them in the actual games. Shops are provided with a variety of items that can be used to grant users abilities and moves usually out of reach of their characters.

Each character has a page on the PokemonDB Pokedex, which is very useful, and contains all the possible natures, statistics, traits, and moves that can be possessed by that Pokémon. For the sake of clarity, if the move, trait, etc. appears on that Pokémon's page, then it is canon.
However, there are several moves that are banned, because they are "multi-move" moves that allow the user to use a move in potentially any way they please, and therefore could easily become over-powered. They are Nature Power, Secret Power, Natural Gift, Metronome, and Mimic. This also applies to any One-Hit KO Moves, such as Fissure, Sheer Cold, Guillotine, and Horn Drill.

    • Humans have not ever existed in the world of Primordia, aside from legends of humans becoming Pokémon. Your character can claim to be human, but there are limits to that. This group is designed for character creation and development, so we want you to try and create your own original characters (OCs). Fan-characters are NOT allowed, which means you are not allowed to be characters from other universes or franchises.

Accessories/Inventory

Each character has a three-slot inventory and is able to hold three items/accessories obtained from the Guild. An accessories shop will be available, so feel free to check it out at any time, provided you have the funds. Each item fills up one slot.

Accessory customization will be available later on as a reward or pay an additional price. When obtained, they can be any single color you want. Through customization, you can apply additional pieces and patterns. (i.e. adding stripes on a scarf) This includes any wear/damage to the accessories.

There is no "correct" way to wear accessories. For example, a bow can be worn as a hair bow or a bowtie--it's all up to you!
